This typical French vintage, that in clayey-calcareous soils on slopes exposed to the north-east of the Serra Estate in the town of Vaglio Serra, has found its optimal habitat for expressing the best it has to offer.
Bottled during the March moon, after a few months it develops natural fermentation thanks to the natural yeasts and sugars still present from the harvest.
Pale straw yellow with slight greenish highlights; sparkling with a dense and fleeting perlage. The opalescence at the end of the bottle is typical of this method.
Average body and strong acid freshness that effectively accompanies the slight sugary residue still present.
The mineral notes typical of Chardonnay, thanks to the particular method, are enhanced by complex notes of bread crusts and corn; altogether, this is then intensified by the lingering effect of the CO2 naturally created in the bottle.
