Our Bastianèt, Barbera d’Asti DOCG Superiore aged in barrique is the crown jewel of our wines.
We produce it only during particularly favourable years when the alcohol content attained with the wild yeast fermentation of our selection of Barbera grapes obtained in the Cascina Sant’ Anna in Nizza Monferrato guarantees a titre of at least 16° of alcohol, making it worthy of the family appellation of Bastianet.
This wine, which is always the centre of our attention, is then aged in small casks. As it represents the best of what Nature brings forth on our lands, obviously only a limited quantity is produced. Characterised by mature tannin and spicy notes that high its ageing in wood.
Ruby red with striking violet highlights.
Very intense and complex; to the nose notes of ripe red fruits that evolve into cherry, plum, licorice, and vanilla.
Velvety with notes of fresh acidity and mature tannin, intense, persistent and creamy.
