The production of wines in our family began in way back in 1928, at the hands of Pancrazio Venturino and his son Giovanni. Instead of selling the grapes and vinifying just a small quantity for the family, as most of the farmers did at that time, they bought what at that time was considered a large barrel (25 hectolitres) and, with the use of other smaller barrels, vinified all the Barbera grapes cultivated on their lands and later sold the finished wine to large wine producers, ready to be sold to the public.
All the wine comes from our vineyards, from our grapes, and is processed by us. This makes it possible to guarantee the total traceability of the product: we know exactly where and how it was obtained and processed, from the vineyard to the final packaging.

All our wines are vegetable products, compatible with principles of wellness and ethics of those who follow vegan or vegetarian diets. The values of respect for one’s own lands and nature have always been fundamental to the Venturino family, as attested by the vegan certification attained in 2014.
Moreover, our 2019 harvest will mark the onset of all our wines being certified as organic.
For our company, Vegan and Organic certifications confirm and formalise that the methods our family has always used in producing wine are respectful of the environment and hence our clientele, because we have always embraced ethical values and the safeguarding of genuineness.
